We achieved this by taking the viewer to a registration page after a certain amount of time spent on the website. This way the system would be seen as a form of clever marketing and not automatically chase the user away from being the first thing he or she would have to do in order to view the website.
We are happy to say the method behind the madness worked with our client firmly establishing a worldwide database of thousands in only a few months.
We also custom built a content management system allowing our client to change, update and manage his database as well as email target demographics within the database with message specific emailers.
